An Oceanic, New Caledonian (?), sixteen-spindled hair-piece with a triangular woven end . The spindles are approximately 7.5 cm long. The weaving is approximately 7.5 cm long and 5 cm wide. Collected by Admiral Grindall whilst he was an Able Seaman aboard Captain Cook’s Resolution during his second circumnavigation.
