A pair of Vienna-style two-handled blue-ground vases, covers and stands, late 19th century, printed with blue shield marks, stencilled iron-red 'Austria' marks, green printed 'Austria' marks to the covers.
With angular gilt handles and short waisted necks, the
fronts reserved with panels painted by C. Forster, one with Venus and Cupid, the other with Telemachus and Eucharis, each signed and named Amor entwaffnet and Telemach on the underside, each reverse gilt with an oval panel with a bird in a landscape vignette flanked by foliage scrolls, with shallow-domed covers, on square plinth bases.
