French, Louis XV style
A unique giltwood and japanned boudoir grand piano.
The movement by Erard, No. 69113, dated 1893.
The Vernis Martin case decorated to the top and sides with allegorical figures and landscapes, signed on the right-hand side by Lucien Simmonet (1849-1926), with a satinwood-veneered interior inscribed Par Brevet d'Invention Seb. & Pre Erard 13 & 21 rue du Mail Paris. The interior signed above the keypad 'Erard Paris', on three cabriole legs, with a lyre-shaped pedal support.

Found in the Erard manufacturing register E.2009.5.71, Registre de fabrication : pianos : n° de série 67041 à 69653 / Érard. under the description: 'Piano a queue n° 1 / style Louis XV, vernis Martin / orné de peintures (personnages) / et de sculptures dorées / Juillet 1893'.
