This is an early twentieth century bronze model by Aristide Maillol and edited by Ambroise Vollard. It was produced prior to 1920 and is signed 'Aristide Maillol'. The bronze has a dark brown patina with golden undertones.
Ambroise Vollard acquired all edition rights to this model in 1902. From 1909, he had the models cast by Florentin Godard. They rarely marked their casts with the foundry name and never used edition numbers.
