A pair of George II candlesticks. Each on a shaped square base, with baluster stem, vase-shaped socket and detachable nozzle, engraved with a crest. Each with hallmarks and date-marks. By Mrs. James (Mary) Gould, 1747.
Cast candlesticks started to appear circa 1685, these are much heavier in weight and capable of withstanding greater wear.
